The Class of 2020

On May 30, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2020. Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, our ceremony was closed to just the graduates and their immediate family. Every year at the WCFS Commencement, graduates present brief testimonies to give God glory, to say thank you, and to share what lies ahead for them. Be blessed as you read these graduate testimonies.

Chastity Cox

Hi, my name is Chastity Cox. The past 12 years have been full of ups and downs. From hikes in our neighbor’s field, to those late night talks with mom and dad, to driving our little go-cart in circles until our yard turned to dirt, and to the nights when Mercy, Charity, and I stayed up until all hours of the night just talking about life, they have been crammed with so many laughs, tears, and memories that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

I have 8 of the best, most committed and supportive friends in the world. They give the best hugs, and the sweetest, random notes, and make the best brownies anyone could ever want. Best of all, though, they have the biggest passion for Jesus that any 8 people in the world could have. And when they come together and talk about what Jesus has been teaching them, the Lord is lifted on high in a way I have seen nowhere else.

Jeremiah, thank you for being that older brother that is always willing to talk, always ready to push my running pace, and is always encouraging me to put 110% into my classes. You are one of the best big brothers I know of, and I am so grateful for the effort you have put into our relationship.

Charity, you’re an awesome sidekick. It has been so fun to play our violins for church, and I have loved the pieces we have been able to work on together. Thanks for putting up with my late study nights and early mornings. :) Sharing a room with you has taught me so much, and I am so thankful for all the lessons we have been able to learn together.

Mercy, oh my goodness, remember all those times you would hide in my closet and scare me when I came in? Also remember when we sat in the apple tree and goofed off? Those were two of the most terrifying and happiest moments of my life. Your strong character has taught me so much about living an uncompromising, authentic life and I am so grateful for your ability to see right and wrong for what it is.

Purly, :) Your sweet, joyful attitude through the struggles of your life has taught me so much. When you were in the hospital having surgery to remove your brain tumor, you couldn’t stop talking to the nurses about Jesus. It struck me that you didn’t know how much time you had left on the earth, and instead of finishing everything on your bucket list, you could only think to make sure you told everyone you could about Jesus. He had given you a light to shine, and you wanted to make sure you were shining it in the brightest way possible for the rest of the days you had left on earth. Thank you for living such a genuine life that shines Jesus to everyone in your way.

Nathanael, you’re such a determined young man. You are an incredible leader, and when Jeremiah left for college, you voluntarily filled the “biggest brother” shoes like a pro. Thank you for being my sidekick when it comes to helping me mow the lawn or pump up my tires. You’re such a man, and one of the biggest little brothers I know.

Karis, you’re so special to me. When you were 2 I used to take you out to our swing-set every single morning and cuddle with you for a whole hour. That started such a precious relationship between us, and I’m so glad we’ve continued our “special times” by doing our weekly Bible study together:)

Lissie, I love your little random kisses so much! Thank you for the fun adventures in the field and the happy times sitting in our little “deer house” in the woods eating donuts. You are so joyful to talk with, and I love your sense of adventure!

Micaiah! Buddy I love you so much! You have so much character and I am so, so grateful to have you as my little sidekick. I am so excited to watch you become the man God has created you to be. Remember, we’re going to buy matching Camaros and run a marathon together when you grow up:)

Momma, thank you for being my momma. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for being able to tell me things I need to hear, but also just give me a hug when I need it. I know that when I’m struggling with something, all I need to do is tell you, and everything will be okay. You pray for me like no one else can. Thank you for pushing me and for telling me when I need to stop, thank you for being my unending source of wisdom and also many, many goofy late nights, but most of all, thank you for just being there through it all.

Daddy! Thank you for being the authority I have desperately needed and for letting the Lord guide you in every decision you make. I have seen over and over how perfectly God works through your leadership, and I am so grateful for you. I love your passion for physics and engineering, and we have done some of the coolest projects together. I love you so much!

To each of my friends who have impacted my life, thank you! Lydia, Marie, Anna, Ellie, Lily, Becca, Molly, and Windsor, you have challenged me to live a life that is sold out for the Gospel, and I am so, so grateful that God has put you into my life. Aunt Audrey, thank you for multitasking as my aunt, best friend, and mentor. Our relationship means so much to me and you have totally changed my life. Jesus has been so real to me through each one of you, and I love you guys so much.

Pa, thank you for your influence in my life. I have had the incredible blessing of sitting under your preaching for these 17 years, and they have changed my life. It was through your World History class that I came to understand the blessing and heritage of our Nation, and truly love America and the principles it was founded upon. The Biblical Foundations of Self Government class that was taught by you and Mr. Fischer helped me realize how important self-government is to the strength of our nation and upholding the constitution of the United States of America.

God used these two classes in huge ways to direct my passions, and God has led me to major in Criminal Justice, with an emphasis on Strategic Intelligence, from Liberty University. I have no idea what God has in hold for me, but I know He has called His children to step into the unknown and be a light for Him in the midst of darkness. The foundation I received during my high school years through Wellspring has strengthened me in an incredible way, and I am prepared to go wherever God calls me. My life is the Lord’s for Him to use however He wants.

Possibly the most special verse to me right now is Psalms 78:40-41. It says, “How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” My greatest desire is to follow the Lord with a heart that is completely trusting His plan, in order that the Holy One is not limited in my life in any way.

Prudence Cox

Hi everyone, my name is Prudence Cox.

I want to begin by thanking my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for it is only by his grace, mercy, and providential guidance that I have come to this milestone in my life. I have nothing to boast of except God's faithfulness to me.

There are two things which encompass my life: 1) I am a great sinner; and, 2) Christ is a great savior. John Newton said “I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the grace of God I am what I am.”

Through all my education and future plans, I want to seek after one thing, and that is to know Jesus Christ and Him crucified. There is nothing more important in life than this. That is why I am so thankful for God's blessing in being homeschooled. I believe that nowhere else would I have had the ability to be educated with the right perspective and foundation on God's Word than Wellspring Christian Family Schools. Proverbs says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. True wisdom cannot be obtained otherwise. Being homeschooled taught me first to fear the Lord, and enabled me to gain knowledge based on the foundation of God's truth.

I owe everything to God and His immeasurable mercy and love towards me. I was put into the best family I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you so much Mom and Dad, for giving me the godly example of true devotion to God, and for patiently teaching me and guiding me.

I want to thank WCFS for their diligence and hard work to provide an amazing education for me and many others. You have been a huge blessing to me. I also want to thank you especially for working hard to give my class a graduation that is as normal as possible.

As of right now, I am planning on taking a gap year, or taking online college courses. My goal is to seek the Lord and his will for me, doing the next thing He has for me. Looking not to a degree, but in whatever I do, to be approved unto God.

Jim Elliot famously said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.” My purpose in life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever, and my goal is echoed in these words from Charles Wesley:

“Forth in Thy name, O Lord, I go My daily labors to pursue; Thee, only Thee, resolve to know In all I think, and speak, and do.”

Good afternoon, everyone!

My name is Hannah Mathews and I’m very happy to be here. First, I’d like to thank God for all the people He put in my life so I could reach here. First, to my parents who chose to homeschool me and my siblings. Congratulations on surviving all four of your kids’ high school graduations. To my dad, thank you for taking the time to teach me about God and His ways and leading me to know Him as my Savior too. That itself was quite a journey, since I thought He died for me because He was old. But seriously, thank you for showing me and always pointing me back to God. To my mom, thank you for everything! You have taught me everything (literally), from tying my shoes, to fashion, to baking, and even what it means to be a responsible person in school and my relationship with God. You have always been there when I was down and you have always encouraged me, when I needed it and when I thought I did not.

To my siblings! To my older sister, Kezia! You have been an inspiration to me in so many areas of my life, from your spiritual life and to your creative side. You have always been there to relate with me about drawing and writing. To my oldest brother, Matthew! Thank you so much for challenging me. You’ve never allowed me to stay in my comfort zone and that has been a blessing, since it has helped me explore the different things like music and my skills. You’ve also helped me, when I needed to have some ‘youngest-to-youngest’ talks. To my sister, Abigail, thank you! First of all, I’m so proud of you for graduating college and second, thank you for listening to me complain about life, my stories, and my drawings. You are very patient with me and I appreciate it very much. To my sister, Joanna, thank you! You’ve made me laugh and cry, but you have also been there to listen to me. No matter the subject, you more or less are paying attention and give me feedback and plenty of laughs to fill my day with joy. To my older brother and first hero I ever had, Josiah. Thank you. You and I talk a lot about everything (music, football, military stuff, politics), even though I must admit, I do talk for the majority of the time, but somehow you’re still super patient with me. You and Joanna are such a pair and you both have me laughing and looking on the bright side. Kezia, Matthew, Abigail, Joanna, and Josiah, you guys are literally my best friends and you’ve helped me so much in so many areas of my life. Thank you also to all my cousins, (baby cousins, especially! You have no idea how the videos of you two have helped me cope with school) my aunts, and uncles for all the love, support and prayers you have given for me!

Secondly I would like to thank, the ministers at the New Testament Church. All of you have prayed for me and helped me to grow spiritually. Thank you to all my friends and sisters at NTC. You guys are the best and you are such an encouragement to me!

Thirdly, I’d like to thank the WCFS Staff. You have always been super flexible with me and have always encouraged me to do my best. To Mr. Cox, thank you for teaching my Research Paper class. Without that class, I would not have learned how much I love to research topics. To Mrs. Becky, you encouraged me to draw and write when I was little and it was one of the reasons I have worked so hard to get better at drawing and writing stories. To Mr. Fischer, thanks so much for encouraging me and challenging me in so many ways.

Lastly, I want to thank God for being there from the beginning to being right here with me now. Before I knew Him, He knew me and loved me. He set up my life to be full of people who would help me grow spiritually. He’s been so good to me and showed me His great faithfulness toward me. I am so undeserving. One set of verses that has encouraged me throughout my high school journey is Hosea 2:19-20, “And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.”

My future plans at the moment are to attend UMGC and study Computer Science, but if God should call me otherwise, I am ready to follow His lead wherever that may be. Thank you to everyone who attended this graduation and for all those who are watching online. Thank you.

Timothy Miskimon

Thank you friends and family for your attendance here today. I would like to start by giving thanks and recognition to God for my family. I want to thank Wellsprings for their excellent homeschool program and staff.

I want to thank my mom for her enlarged heart in every aspect of her life but mainly in her unbreakable will to homeschool us kids. She has given up so many things to homeschool, like her social life and for 22 years she has given up half of her weekly pay check just so she could stay home and teach me, who has shown nowhere near as much appreciation as I should have.

I want to thank my older brother, Gavin, for always telling me to work hard and then even harder because this world is not a forgiving place, and how this world does not love or care about you like Mom does. I want thank my dad for his willingness to teach me algebra and understand its purpose, in which I did not understand. I also want to thank my little brothers for their willingness to help me with memorizing facts for an upcoming test or for memorizing scripture as well as always being ready to fool around and have fun. I would like to thank my church members and friends who have endlessly encouraged me to run with my dreams and to not quit even though I wanted to many times even in the same day.

My mom has taught me many special lessons during my homeschool adventure like how do a job quickly, quietly, cheerfully, and completely even when my instinct was to do the job half way as she knew. She taught me that the man I am when no one is looking is the man I really am, and to make that a man to be proud of. One of the most remembered lessons learned from my mom was whatever you do, do it pleasing to the lord and to do it with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. She also showed me what it meant to be mentally tough and that mental toughness was an attribute I would need throughout my whole life. If there be any worth found in me I owe it all to her. Thanks, Mom.

As for future plans I will be moving out in October of this year into a place I can afford. I will spend a few months after October working and training for the Marine Corps which I will enroll in soon after.

Austin Schott

Hi, my name is Austin. All the glory goes to God.

First off, I want to thank everyone who has been a part in helping me to reach this milestone I have achieved. Especially my parents, they have done a lot to help me in school. My dad has been the best coach ever. During my high school years, he would even take classes with me. We took welding, well drilling and well pump repair classes together and even got certified in those areas. The best of those classes was the well drilling class. We were in North Carolina doing the class and it rained a lot. We were out in the mud wearing trash bags as ponchos, but at last we did hit water, and that was exciting. To my mom, I can’t thank you enough. Honestly, I had a lot of fun in school. My mom was the best teacher ever. She always brought the fun out of schooling. When my mom used to teach science class, she would do different dissections and would always bring extra home, and it was cool.

To my older sister Sarah, you are my best friend. You have always pushed me to do my best and we have always had fun, especially when you would lock me up in the chicken house or drop an egg on my head. To my four brothers Seth, Joshua, Colton, and Ethan you are the best, you all never turn down an opportunity to make the best out of any situation. It has and always will be fun hanging out as brothers.

Also, thank you to Mr. Gary Cox and Mr. Joel Fischer for everything you have helped with along my schooling journey. School may sometimes be challenging, but if you have the right perspective it becomes fun, but one thing I have learned is the challenging things in life always turn out to be the best things. During my high school years, I have always liked science or math classes. The favorite class for me, was my high school biology class, I had a fun teacher. The best part about it was seeing other classmates freak out when we had to dissect a worm. It is exciting being finished high school, but in a way, school may be over, but there is always learning in life.

This fall I will be starting classes at Oregon State University online pursuing a degree in horticulture/natural resources. Maybe someday I hope to use the things I learn at college to help others in countries around the world in mission work. I am excited to see how God can use my life in the future.

A verse that is my motto going into the future is Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God will always be by my side and I want to always let Him lead. Thank you again to everyone who has been a part in my schooling journey and those who came to share this special day.

Miriam Shell

Hello everyone! My name is Miriam Shell.

Well, honestly, I wasn’t expecting to actually be here today. Both of my older sisters graduated in absentia, and I assumed that I would as well, which I was absolutely fine with. (: That happy assumption lasted right up until a few months ago when we suddenly came back to the States, and I found out we’d be here over graduation time.

Our family has lived in Mongolia for the past ten years, and during that time we didn’t do much traveling. Last year destroyed that pattern! First, we went to South Korea for three months at the very beginning of the school year. Then we returned to Mongolia, and I barely got back in stride with my school when we came to America. Once we were finally settled here, the school year was almost over! It’s been a hectic final year to say the least, but God has been a faithful guide through it all.

Mama and Papa have been a key part in that guidance. I have to thank them so much for all the direction and support they’ve given me throughout my life, but especially during this last year of High School.

Thank you, Mama, for making sure I kept at my school, and stayed on track. I know this year was crazy for our whole family, but it’s been especially so for you. Despite that, you were always there when I needed to talk; a safe person for me to vent my frustrations and stress to. I loved taking those walks with you, and just talking. Thank you for always being there for me.

Papa, thank you for teaching us about God and His word, and for sharing with us the lessons you learn from Him. Thank you for teaching us to forgive, and to never hold grudges. For teaching us about fasting, and the power of sacrifice. Thank you, during this extra stressful time, for reminding us that we are not to fear but trust in God and His unshakable promises. Thank you for leading by example, not just words.

I also want to thank my sisters. Francy, thank you for being such a caring big sister! I can talk to you about any of my troubles and you will just listen, and then if I need it, give me good advice. That means a lot. Thank you for all the good memories I have of just hanging out with you, laughing and talking. Thank you for the example you set for me of faithfully serving, especially when it comes to cooking for this ‘Wolf Pack’ of a family; it is greatly appreciated. I am so glad God let me be your not-so-little, little sister!

Ruth, well, I don’t know what I would have done without you. I’m so glad you didn’t go to Israel, but instead got stuck here in America, right in WCFS. Sorry if that sounds bad, but I gotta be honest. You have been such a help and support for me during this crazy last year of High School. Thank you for helping me through my Research Paper, and making me talk to Mr. Cox even though I was scared of him. Thank you for pushing me even when I didn’t want to be pushed and for answering any and all of my questions. I can’t express how much I appreciate you. And beyond what you have done helping me through high-school, thank you for just being a big sister to me.

I want to thank my little brothers too. Thank you, Lyte, for making me laugh. I still don’t know how you do it, but even when I should be annoyed you manage to get me to giggle. I love how you can be so funny, but also thoughtful and smart at the same time. I’m really glad God gave you to us because I probably would have died of boredom if you hadn’t been here to distract me from my schoolwork every once in a while, and make me laugh till I had to chase you out.

Truth, thank you for being the bundle of energy that you are. You are constantly delighting me with your wit. Your smarts and interesting ideas and perspectives on things make me stop and think, and I appreciate that. I liked working with you on your math, and your talent with music almost makes me jealous. I have so many good memories with both of you boys. Now that I’m almost done with school, hopefully we can make even more!

Aunt Anna, I am so glad I have had the chance to get to know you. Your perseverance and strength inspire me, and I love your humor and sassiness. I haven’t been able to spend enough time with you, but the time I have spent has been so much fun. And you and Mama teasing each-other while we got ready for bed in the evenings was a fantastic stress reliever and helped me unwind a lot, especially when I got to join in. I can’t wait to spend more time with you, Aunt Anna!

I’m so grateful to God for all of the family he has given me. Y’all have been such a big help and support for me through all of my life, and I love and thank each one of you, more than I can say.

Besides my family, I also want to thank WCFS, and the staff here. I haven’t gotten the chance to get to know many of you, but I’m grateful for all of the behind-the-scenes work that you do to make all of this possible. Mr. Joel, Ms. Donna, Mrs. Wyand, and Mr. and Mrs. Frierson, thank you all for your tireless service. Mr. Cox, thank you for being patient and understanding with me, and for not being as scary as I thought you were. Thank you for continually challenging me, and pushing me to do my best.

As for the future, I have no set plans. I love children, and have had some experience working with them through some trauma relief camps I helped with back in Mongolia, and I would love to do more of that. Otherwise, I am open and waiting for whatever God has for me. Whatever it is, that’s what I want to be doing.

Choosing a verse that has meant a lot to me was a challenge, because I have so many. In the end, I chose more than one. Together, I feel that they sum up my experience pretty well: Deuteronomy 31:6, Psalm 55:22, and Isaiah 41:13.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee…,

For the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

And He has. Thank you.

Aaron Smalley

Hi, my name is Aaron and after 4 years of hard work, high school is finally over. Several times during high school, while working on projects, I doubted whether or not I would finish, but I did. However, I couldn’t have done it without the help of several people.

First of all, I want to thank my parents and family for their commitment to homeschooling me for the past 17 years and for sacrificing their time to teach and help me with my school. Even during the times when I was rebellious, they were always there for me and teaching me the gospel and how to be a man after Christ.

I want to thank my youth pastor for teaching me so much about the gospel and about life, helping to disciple me throughout my high school years, and always praying for me and listening to me when I needed to talk.

Another huge thank you goes to my friends and all the times we spent together playing sports, driving around, getting food, hanging out, and helping each other as we navigated the ups and downs of growing up.

I also want to thank Wellspring for helping me with homeschool: Mr. Cox for teaching me how to write a research paper, and Mr. Joel for sending transcripts and writing a letter of recommendation.

However, most importantly I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus, without whom none of this could have been possible. He’s always there to comfort me, teach me, and guide me to do what He wants me to do.

Being homeschooled has taught me several valuable lessons. Some of these include being able to work independently, teach myself material, and develop good time management skills. These skills were evident during this past school year when I attended a community college. When classes went online because of COVID-19, having the skills to teach myself helped me to transition a lot easier than some of my peers.

Lord willing, next fall I will attend University of Maryland, College Park and major in electrical engineering.

I’d like to end with a verse that has stuck with me through high school. It is 1 Timothy 4:12, which says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”​ It is important for me to remember that even though I am young, I am still a witness for God, and that I should strive to honor Him in all that I do, and speak up for what I believe so that I am a good witness to others so that they can be drawn to the Lord.

Isaac Valdes

Finally! It’s here! All the hard work, long hours, blood, sweat, and tears, have finally paid off. Prayers have been answered, and here I stand, at the end of a very important chapter of my life; though it was not easy. Yes, there were moments of uncertainty where I was unsure of whether or not this was going to be worth it, but it turned out to be worth every second. Yes there were points I wanted to give up and quit, but God sustained me, and called me to finish my education. Yes there were points where I wanted to smack my head against the wall in frustration, but my parents kindly reminded me that if I did that I would be the one to re- spackle and paint the wall, so my head and the wall were both preserved. But through all that, God has been faithful, and has brought me through to the finish line.

First off, I wish to thank God, for loving me and sustaining me through this journey. Without Him, not only would I not be here, but I wouldn’t be the person I am today. He has stuck with me through many hardships, despite my sins and my shortcomings. He has been there for me through it all, and it is only right that I give him the glory first and foremost.

Second, I wish to thank my family. To my parents. Thank you both for choosing to homeschool me. Thank you Dad for taking me by your side, and teaching me what you know. Thank you for all the time we spent fixing vehicles, lawn equipment, and other things around the house that broke down at the most inconvenient moments. Thank you for imparting your wisdom, instruction, good work ethic, and (most importantly) for teaching me to not be a picky eater. Thank you Mom for NOT following through with sending me to public school when I tried your patience. Thank you for teaching me the necessities of life like how to cook, clean, and do my laundry so I will be able to take care of myself when I leave.

I would also like to take a moment to thank my siblings. Thank you Nathan and Alex for helping me to see God through the times it seemed He wasn’t there, and encouraging me to seek him out whenever I was ready to give up. Thank you Ana for being my fashion police when I was younger, and for always taking time to help me with planning or designing details that I was indecisive about. I also want to thank you for the time we spent, when you would use me to help you remember things for your college classes, and also for expanding my musical and political variety when we were doing our Amish Friendship Bread business. Thank you Patrick and Timothy for being amazing partners in crime in everything we did together from doing our chores, to video games, to lazer tag, to capture the flag, to musical performances, to “let’s get the frisbee off the roof before mom and dad find out.” I honestly couldn’t ask for better younger brothers (mainly because they don’t exist).

A wise person once said, “It takes a village to raise a child.” I agree whole heartedly with that sentiment, so it is only right that I also take a moment to acknowledge my fellow villagers. To my church family. Thank you for being there whenever our family was struggling. Thank you to all my Sunday school teachers for putting in me the desire to learn about the Bible from an early age. Thank you to the men of the church for demonstrating what it looks like to follow after Christ with all my mind, heart, and soul. And thank you to my church friends for encouraging me through every phase of my life, and spending time together both in God’s word, and on the makeshift soccer field. I have known most of you for all my life, and I will miss you all terribly as I embark on whatever God has in store for my life.

To my other “villagers” in 4-H. Thank you for allowing me to grow my leadership capabilities, and for giving me an opportunity to use my skills and giving me a shot at something bigger than myself when not many other people would. To my fellow roboticists: Though I have only known you for a short time, I have come to grow close with you all. Thank you for being some of the best teammates and friends a person could hope for, and also for putting up with my endless supply of dad jokes. I will miss you terribly as well.

Finally, I wish to thank the amazing staff at Wellspring Christian Family Schools, for helping me and my family navigate the world of homeschooling, and to avoid many of the associated pitfalls. Thank you Pastor Gary for meeting with us, and for giving us wisdom when we were struggling with keeping up with our school work, and motivating us to keep working at it. Thank you Mr. Joel for your amazing insight and for your wisdom during my time taking the Biblical Foundations course.

One of the many passages of scripture that has helped me through not only high school, but through life as well, is Luke 16:10-13. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

As for my future, I am not certain whether I will go into the military, get a job, or go to college. I don’t have a crystal ball to give me those answers, but I do have Jesus who will direct my next steps to wherever He wants me, whenever he wants me there. Because of this, I am not worried about what tomorrow holds, and I know that as long as I keep on loving the Lord, all things will work together for good.
